Janet Twigg-Patterson

After many years I am still painting! I have just finished working in the workforce and now devote my time to painting full time instead of struggling to work and try and keep my painting alive. Teaching has been a blessing as I always think it "keeps the hand in" so to speak.

I have been very fortunate to have been able to study, exhibit and have my work appraised in China, the result being an invitation to work in Shanghai a possibility in 2007.

I am still working and teaching in the fields of Wildlife and Botanical Art and this year I will be working on two exhibitons. One will be on my 2004 Central Australian experience and the other on my three visits to China 1986, 2004 and 2005. I hope to be able to travel and paint from my experiences and continue to be inspired by life and the universe around us.

My work, both Chinese and Western, are included in private and public collections. I teach through the Australian National University Continuing Education Classes, the Canberra Institute of Technology, my own studio, and also conduct workshops.
