Biography

Vivien was born and educated in the UK. Vivien gained an Art certificate in GCE, although her love of the Arts was initially in the field of dance.

A nursing career took Vivien to Zambia where an interest in art was further developed. Vivien spent nine years in Papua New Guinea and established a Dance School during that time. Her set and costume designs featured in the annual concerts as well as choreography.

On her move to Australia, Vivien re-established her love of drawing and painting. She attended workshops in watercolour, botanical art and bird painting.

Vivien also enjoys photography of birds, flowers and animals.

Subject, style and media

Vivien draws and paints our beautiful native birds and plants. She does branch out into other subjects such as animals and some scenery. The media used is mainly watercolour or water based media, coloured pencil, airbrushing and some acrylic.
