Peta BoyceBiographyPeta’s childhood was spent in Papua New Guinea where she developed a passion for wildlife and art. She currently lives on a small acreage in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland where she shares her extensively planted native garden with many of the birds she loves to paint. Peta has exhibited in many combined exhibitions and her work is in private collections both in Australia and Overseas. Subject, style and mediaPeta is a self-taught artist and works mainly in gouache. Primarily painting birds, after two trips to Africa (Namibia and Tanzania), Peta has extended her portfolio to include some of Africa’s mammals. In 2000 Peta co-authored and illustrated the book – Wild About You “Friends With Feathers” – with fellow wildlife artist Lyn Ellison. The book is a collection of short stories about injured and orphaned birds that the artists had cared for as Wildlife Foster Carers. Limited Edition Giclee Prints are available of some of Peta’s work as well as a series of small Open Edition Prints.
