Dear WABA members,
The National Trust Heritage Festival is currently organising their 2016 Open Day and would be delighted if WABA would be interested in participating. The Open Day will be held on Sunday 10th April from 10am until 3pm near the Old Forestry Building on Banks Street in Yarralumla.
The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Discoveries and Rediscoveries’, and while there will also be a focus on things related to forestry, we will have a range of stalls, displays, activities and entertainment for everyone. We welcome any ideas you might have about ways in which your members would like to participate, from display and sales stalls, to workshops or interactive activities.
There is no charge to participate, although if you are selling items, we would appreciate a donation for the National Trust. If you aren’t able to supply your own stall requirements, let us know and we will assist if we can. The National Trust (ACT) holds public liability insurance to cover the event. We will also be promoting the event as widely as possible, including print, online, and local media.
While we are still working out the details of the layout and facilities at the main site, (the oval off Banks St near the old Forestry building), we would like to confirm our stallholders before December 13th in order to include as many as possible in the printed promotion material.
Please do let us know if you would like to join us, and - to assist us in promotion and organising - any details you can provide us at this time about your stall, and if you have any special requirements. We are very happy to answer any questions about the event over the phone.
We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to this popular annual event.
